Under limited supervision, provides support to the credit union’s marketing function through the implementation of marketing campaigns, initiatives and efforts in alignment with corporate goals and objectives. Assists with special projects.
Principal Accountabilities (95%)
Coordinates community initiatives to support member growth and public relations efforts.
Coordinates the internal communications materials in support of the credit union’s marketing campaigns, initiatives and efforts to include: distributing Marketing Bulletins, posting correspondence on the Intranet, and updating on-hold messaging, etc.
Edits and proofreads all marketing materials prior to production.
Organizes and coordinates all promotional items.
Participates in community relations activities, to include membership presentations, community outreach events and booth set up and staffing.
Prints and distributes marketing materials to branches highlighting product promotions tied to corporate financial objectives.
Provides branding support for internal meetings and celebrations to include printed materials such as nametags, agendas and handouts, as well as PowerPoint presentations and spreadsheets. Coordinates corporate lunches, as needed.
Provides excellent customer service with timely and accurate responses to inquiries and requests.
Provides support to the department’s functions and processes; and, ensures all tasks are completed accurately and timely to meet tight deadlines.
Tracks and files media coverage.
Tracks, provides updates and procures awards related to specific product sales contests and celebrations.
Secondary Accountabilities (5%)
Serves as a backup for the Marketing Specialist.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with BSA requirements as commensurate with position.
Position Requirement and Qualifications
Employee should have excellent communication skills, the ability to coordinate multiple projects at one time, be deadline oriented, and produce high-quality marketing communication pieces. The individual should work collaboratively in a team environment to support the overall credit union’s
strategic objectives. They should also operate using sound judgement while identifying process improvement opportunities to ensure the Marketing Department is running efficiently.
Knowledge, Education, Certifications, Licenses, Experience:
Employee should have strong computer and administrative skills. They should be intermediate in all Microsoft Office Suite programs. Requires one-two years’ experience in a administrative support role. Equivalent work experience and/or a bachelor’s degree preferred.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a marketing office environment as well as in the community. This position does require physical effort to include: community booth set up activities, meeting coordination and the packaging/distributing of marketing materials, all of which include lifting, pushing and carrying of supplies to support credit union initiatives.
