  • Overview

    As an extension of branch staff, provides support to the credit union’s sales, business development and community partnership functions by representing the organization in a professional manner through:

     

    Key Partners

    • Maintain relationships with Key Partners, to include school Districts/Administrators, HR Professionals, and Payroll Administrators.
    • Grow Key Partners, to include new school Districts/Administrators, HR Professionals, and Payroll Administrators.

    Educator Members

    • Service existing Educator Members.
    • Expand Educator Members’ share of wallet.
    • Grow new members through the education segment.

    Community Members

    • Participate in community outreach events aligned with credit union strategies.
    • Serve as an extension of branch retail staff during community functions.

    Territory

    • San Diego County region

    Responsibilities

    Principal Accountabilities (95%)

     

    Key Partners

    • Maintain Relationships:
      • Support branches within their respective territory, providing resources to ensure each branch meets their specific sales objectives.
      • Meet with key school/community partners to maintain and grow relationships resulting in the opportunity to offer educator products and services to school staff (certificated, classified, administrators).
      • Participate in key events and recognition programs in conjunction with partners, to nurture and solidify relationships.
      • Support key partner staff meetings through sponsorships that provide branding opportunities.
    • Grow Key Partners:
      • Use school prospect lists and prioritize efforts through strategic outreach opportunities to expand key partners.
      • Identify new partner opportunities, expand prospect list and begin outreach.
      • Garner endorsements to offer our Educator Products as a benefit to their staff.

    Educator Members

    • Service existing Educator Members.
      • Use extensive knowledge of CCU products/services, locations, digital properties, telephone numbers, and additional opportunities to guide and serve existing members through on-site presentations, events, while at branch offices and through member calling efforts.
    • Expand Educator Members’ share of wallet.
      • Share promotional offers through school networks to educators, giving them the opportunity to engage and expand their relationships with us.
      • Answer questions and provide guidance.
    • Grow new members through the education segment.
      • Offer products and services during presentations/school meetings and open new accounts.

    Community Members

    • Participate in community outreach events aligned with credit union strategies.
      • Represent the credit union by displaying our brand in a professional and polished manner.
      • Man booths, offer products/services, and answer questions.
      • Communicate in a courteous and professional manner and follow up with leads in a timely manner.
    • Serve as an extension of branch retail staff during community functions.
      • Offer assistance to the branches within the territory.
      • Work with the branches at community events.

    Marketing Team

    • Serve on the Marketing Team, offering support and additional knowledge as it relates to promotional offers, advertising and merchandising.
    • Have deep knowledge of functionality of all digital properties, to include: the intranet, the internet, digital banking, MeridianLink, DNA and mobile banking app.
    • Ensure that the correct marketing materials are displayed in the branches within their territory at all times.
    • Make sure the branches are clean and well branded during visits.

    Secondary Accountabilities (5%)

    • Serves as the backup to fellow School and Community Development Officers.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Complies with BSA requirements as commensurate with position.

    Qualifications

    Position Requirement and Qualifications

     

    Abilities:  Employee should have excellent communication, time management and organizational skills. They should also have deep knowledge of all products, services, digital properties, and possess financial industry expertise. The individual should work collaboratively in a team environment to support the overall 
    credit union’s strategic objectives. They should also operate using sound judgement while identifying process improvement opportunities to ensure the Marketing Department is running efficiently.


    Knowledge, Education, Certifications, Licenses, Experience:
    Employee should have at least 2 – 3 years of financial experience or the equivalent of.


    Working Conditions and Physical Demands:  Work is performed primarily in the field. This position does require physical effort to include: booth set up activities, meeting coordination and the packaging/distributing of marketing materials, all of which include lifting, pushing and carrying of supplies to support credit union initiatives.
