    North Island Credit Union - A Division of California Credit Union is seeking an experienced Regional HR Manager to join our growing HR team.  This role will develop and maintain relationships with leaders in the Los Angeles and San Diego county areas, and at a corporate level.  The position requires strong collaboration with stakeholders in all areas of the company and in HR.  This role will report to the SVP, Human Resources.

    Responsibilities

    North Island Credit Union - A Division of California Credit Union is seeking an experienced Regional HR Manager to join our growing HR team.  

     

    General Summary

    The HR Business Partner role will develop and maintain relationships with leaders in respective region and at a corporate level.  This role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders in all areas of the company and in HR.  This role will report to the SVP, Human Resources.

     

    Principal Accountabilities (95%)

    • Develop and maintain relationships with leaders in respective region and at a corporate level, first point of contact for Branches.
    • Collaborate with colleagues in the HR department to develop policies, programs, processes and people solutions.
    • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to regional employees and managers (coaching, career development, performance improvement plans, etc.).
    • Mediate and resolve employee relations issues; conduct thorough and objective investigations when necessary.
    • Find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships, and boost productivity and retention.
    • Ensure regulatory compliance with legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees; collaborate with the legal department when necessary.
    • Advise and educate employees on existing benefits and HR programs.
    • Partner with Talent Acquisitions team to effectively recruit for open positions and oversee orientation and onboarding for new hires.
    • Identify training needs related to manager and employee needs, partner with Learning & Development on training.
    • Deliver training and talent management programs to the business leaders.

     Secondary Accountabilities (5%)

    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Provides support to other areas of the department.
    • Complies with BSA requirements as commensurate with position.

    Qualifications

    Position Requirement and Qualifications

    Abilities:    

    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
    • Ability to effectively leverage HR technology.
    • Must have advanced interpersonal skills required to handle sensitive and confidential information.

     Knowledge, Education, Certifications, Licenses: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related discipline preferred.
    • PHR, SHRM-CP or other HR related professional certifications preferred.

     Experience: 

    • 5+ years of HR experience and a working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines.
    • Financial Services and/or banking experience preferred.
    • Experience with hourly workforce is required.
    • Merger & acquisition experience helpful.
