  • Overview

    Under minimal supervision, oversees system releases and related issues. Oversees the Consumer Loan/Credit Card Servicing and DMV functions and Loan Funding processes.  Assists with lending product implementation.  Provides tactical leadership and day-to-day management of the Consumer Lending support staff.

     

    Qualifications

    Principal Accountabilities (95%)

     

    Oversees system releases and related issues- Systems Management:

    • Reviews release documentation and testing on all enhancements related to lending.
    • Documents release results and communicates to branch and department lending staff.
    • Develops and implements process improvements.
    • Researches issues and submits to vendors and internal departments to resolve.
    • Updates and maintains system online documents related to consumer lending products including home equity lines of credit.
    • Participates in monthly system focus groups and users conference calls.
    • Serves as the liaison to Information Technology Services. 

    Oversees Consumer Loan/Credit Card Servicing functions and process:

    • Monitors servicing requests, reports and phone queue volume.
    • Monitors card servicing requests, reports and research and inquiries
    • Manages insurance/death claims and provides support for credit disputes and charge off processing.
    • Manages operational aspect of the CPI program related to auto loans.
    • Provides system support for IQQ for Consumer Loan Protection products.
    • Provides support for credit reporting in compliance with FACT Act.
    • Provides support for regular portfolio credit score updates. 

    Oversees Consumer Funding functions and process:

    • Monitors loan funding production, email requests and queue volume.
    • Manages consumer loan documents with document and loan origination system vendors.
    • Provides backup support to funding team for loan disbursements and packaging.
    • Provides support for quality control program and related corrections 

    Manages all facets of lien placement and release of lien for all credit union loans in which a vehicle is listed as collateral

    • Monitors DMV servicing related tasks and process to ensure timely lien perfection
    • Prepares and processes Letters of Guarantees
    • Tracks, monitors, and reconciles DMV general ledger accounts
    • Provides DMV technical guidance to branch staff
    • Provides Branch assistance with TRIVIN/CVRs to verify vehicle title information 

    Supervises Consumer Loan Servicing, DMV and Funding support staff:

    • Provides coaching and guidance to support staff.
    • Completes performance reviews on time.
    • Addresses and handles employee performance issues. 

    Provides processing support for the Employee Consumer Loan Applications:

    • Provides processing support for employee consumer loan requests.
    • Performs income verification analysis for salaried and self employed borrowers.

    Assists with research and development of lending products and projects by participating in product development projects.

     

    Secondary Accountabilities (5%)

      • Performs other duties as assigned.
      • Complies with BSA requirements as commensurate with position.

    Position Requirements and Qualifications:

     

    Abilities: 

    Excellent abilities in planning, organization, technical skills, staff supervision, communication, customer service, process management, analysis, judgment, problem-solving and attention to detail. 

     

    Knowledge, Education, Certifications, Licenses: 

    Extensive knowledge of consumer credit policies and procedures, compliance with NCUA and Federal and State Regulations. PC literate using Microsoft Office suite of applications and programs and good working knowledge of credit union computer systems or equivalent.  Working knowledge of database applications a plus. General knowledge of credit union policies and procedures.  A degree in business or equivalent field preferred.

     

    Experience:  A minimum of seven years experience consumer lending with a credit union and/or financial institution to include proven experience in processing and underwriting with supervision experience or equivalent to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to handle all aspects of the position required.  Back office system administration and troubleshooting issues related to loan origination system, CORE and ancillary vendor systems.
